NOTD : OPI Gargantuan Green Grape - Review & Photos

Hi Guys!

Today's NOTD (nail of the day) is an OPI color I have had for about 2 years. Gargantuan Green Grape is a sheer mint green color, with a white base.
Please excuse the messiness haha

GGG was streaky upon application, but it did have a smooth formula that was neither too thick nor too runny. The polish reached semi opacity after 2 coats, but 3 coats was needed for full opacity.

Overall, I would recommend this color, and it was quite fool proof and beginner friendly if you can get pass or have the time to apply 3 coats, haha.

Please note that I applied Revlon Colorstay Base Coat and Top Coat on my nails as well.

Thanks for reading and please leave requests for products you would like a review on!

Review: NARS Orgasm/Laguna Duo

Hi everyone!

This is going to be a review for NARS Orgasm/Laguna blush/bronzerDuo. This product retails for $41 USD and can be found at Sephora and NARS counters in various department stores. It can also be purchased online.

Orgasm blush is a infamous product that has won many awards. It has quite a cult following. As does Laguna bronzer. I finally bit the bullet and purchased this product a few weeks ago, and to tell you the truth...I am disappointed! I gave in to the hype to see what the popularity was about.

When I first purchased this duo, both the blush and the bronzer lacked pigmentation. The pigmentation of Orgasm blush was okay, but Laguna bronzer had absolutely no pigmenation. I swatched it and tried numerous different brushes for application, but nothing seemed to work. The product was very dry, and had a strange film on the surface. NARS company is known for having incredible pigmentation in their products, so I knew something was up.There was no way I was going to keep this "decent" product for upwards of $40. Thanks to Sephora's great return policy, I exchanged this product for a new one, tihinking maybe I had got a bad one the first time around.

After trying out the second compact, Orgasm blush was exactly as others had mentioned it. A beautiful peachy pink blush with shimmer. The pigmentation did not lack. When I went to swatch Laguna bronzer, it at least showed up on my finger. As I've been using the bronzer, though, the same thing has happened! It seems to have some shiny, dry, film on the surface and I can't get it to show up!! It's so unfortunate because I really wanted to love this product, but for $41, and to only have the blush to work, I will be returning this product. Yes, I enjoy Orgasm blush, but so many companies have dupes for it, even drugstores. Take Milani 'Luminous' for example. It is almost a spot on dupe, and I paid $3 for it on sale at CVS.

NARS Packaging (beautiful!)

Let me know if any of you have had the same problem and what you did to resolve it. The only thing I could think of would be to try Laguna bronzer in its single compact...?
